7 Tips for taking better photos
Looking to capture perfect photos yourself? The kind that capture personality and a bit of spunk?
Freeze your memories in time and evoke emotion?
Photographs you'll look back on in years to come and think ‘yeah that's EXACTLY what little Johnny was like!
Well here's a few tips that might help!
1. First of all you're going to need a camera, it doesn't matter what sort of camera it is it can be your iPhone, a basic point shoot or a DSLR
2. Then you're going to want to put your subject in some beautiful light, you may want to capture the shadows or have them fully lit, so you want to pick a location before you start.
3.Ensure the subjects faces are well lit you don't want dark shadows under their eyes.
4.Consider what's in your background you don't want it to be too busy, you want your audienceto focuson the subject .
5.Get down to their level you don't want to be shooting down at your subject, be at their eye level.
6.Shoot everything, this is the best way to learn
7.Be discreet, I stood back at the end of the driveway to photograph this example. I let them share an ice cream and said go for it! These photos are not staged, this is a real as it gets!
This was a personal project of my grandchildren. It captured the exact story I wanted to tell to create a story wall in my entrance to the house,
Lincoln is always looking out for Matilda, he has such a kind heart, always happy to share.
I love the way this is captured as he shares his ice cream with out hesitation.
So let’s pick up that camera and give it a go, remember the most important thing! Have FUN!
